A: it involves only drilling a hole with the bit supplied and should take no more than 5 minutes.

A: No, the drill bit is supplied in the pack however, if your loft hatch is manufacturer insulated up to 45mm then your will need to purchase a 20mm hole cutter.

A: It has a shadow over it due to either the loft ladder or a roof timber member, or light source is more than 2m away. The light will need to be moved so it is closer to the device, this can easily be done by a qualified electrician.
Q: The Attic Eye lights up dimly when the light is left on, what does it show?
A: This is normal as the brightness depends on how far the light source is from the Attic Eye.
Q: Do I need any batteries?
A: No this device does not require any batteries to work.
Q: How tight should the device be?
A: It should be tightened slightly so the device does not move.
Q: What is the best way to drill the hole?
A: It is best to start drilling from the side that is seen to give a neat finish.
